(Crain’s) — The New York state Workers’ Compensation Board on Wednesday proposed a 30% increase in workers compensation medical provider fees.
Health care providers treating injured workers have not seen a rate adjustment since 1996, Workers’ Compensation Board Chairman Robert Beloten said, in a statement.
“I believe that these actions will help the board recruit and retain the best doctors in New York, helping to ensure injured workers receive swift, quality medical care now and into the future,” Mr. Beloten said.
