(Chicago Sun Times) — A $10,000-a-month consultant to the Mayor Daley-created Office of Compliance should be barred from doing business with the city for six months for giving Spanish lessons to former director Anthony Boswell on city time, the inspector general’s office has concluded.
The Spanish lessons were provided to Boswell — as often as several times a week for nearly two years — by Gabriel Rodriguez. The inspector general’s May 7 report cited 16 e-mails between the two men related to the Spanish lessons along with interviews with the principals and co-workers.
