(Freelance Blogging) — The latest U.S. census data show that Blacks make up 13.3 percent of the total population of the U.S. More than one million African Americans own businesses that bring in $100 billion in total annual sales. Black leaders were encouraged in business development by the legendary Booker T. Washington, a renowned African American leader, who urged Blacks more than 100 years ago to strive to get ahead economically.
