(BlackPoliticsOnTheWeb.com) — A visit to your local barber may get you more than a haircut in on May 22, 2010. Dr. Bill J. Releford, D.P.M., founder of The Diabetic Amputation Prevention (DAP) Foundation, and a squadron of volunteers will launch the “50 City Tour” in over 23 cities and 80 barbershops throughout the state of California on May 22, 2010 from 11AM to 3PM. The Black Barbershop Health Outreach Program, sponsored by a grant from the Center for Disease and Control and Prevention and Charles Drew University, is a unique and innovation grass roots approach to health education and screening.
