Mayor Seeks Anti-Fraud Ban

(Chicago Sun Times) — Companies convicted of defrauding Chicago taxpayers would be forever banned from doing business with the city, under a mayoral crackdown triggered by an $11 million auto body contract with a convicted thief.

Four months after the Chicago Sun-Times blew the lid off the Central Auto Body Shop scandal, Mayor Daley plans to introduce an ordinance designed to prevent similar embarrassments.
