On Oct. 16, thousands of runners will converge on Chicago to take part in the annual Bank of America Chicago Marathon. With their family and friends in tow, they will lace up their sneakers, pin on their runner’s bibs and open their wallets, contributing an estimated $140 million to the city’s economy.
