If You Can't Take The Heat, Get Out of The Kitchen: Donald Trump Says Public Scorn Is Too Much
Here’s an ancient rule: if you can’t take it, don’t dish it out. Apparently, Donald Trump has no problem dishing out his extreme theories and inappropriate comments, but he can’t handle being called out and criticized for his actions.
Reuters reports that during an event in Nashua, NH for the Nashua Chamber of Commerce, Trump admitted that it wasn’t so fun being on the receiving end of jokes and ridicule.
“Nobody said it was going to be easy, but I had no idea I would get hammered in the way I’ve been hammered the past few weeks,” he said, referring to the April 30 White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, during which President Obama and comedian Seth Meyers mocked the real estate mogul mercilessly as he sat in the audience.
Since Obama released his birth certificate to confirm his citizenship, surveys reveal that Trump has been slipping in popularity. Public Policy Polling, which in April showed Trump leading the Republican field with 26 percent support, this week showed him with just 8 percent support, according to Reuters.
Interestingly, even Republicans have been taken shots at Trump.
Despite all the backlash he’s been receiving, Trump said he is still flirting with the idea of running for president.
Activists Ask Star Jones, Lil Jon to Dump Trump
(Hollywood Reporter) – An African-American political advocacy group is targeting “Celebrity Apprentice” star Donald Trump in the aftermath of what many feel are racially tinged political comments made about President Obama. On Thursday, the organization ColorOfChange launched a Twitter-based campaign to persuade black “Celebrity Apprentice” cast members Star Jones and Lil Jon to denounce Trump for what the group terms “race-baiting.” Trump has made headlines in recent weeks by repeatedly questioning whether Obama was born in the U.S. Obama released his longform birth certificate April 27 with the hope of settling the matter, but the issue has been kept alive by a segment of the “birther” movement.
Forget The Birth Certificate: Top Five Obama Conspiracy Theories
Last week, President Obama released his long-form version of his birth certificate, verifying that he was, indeed, born in the United States. Consider this a two-for-one deal because not only did he prove that he was in fact, an American citizen, but he also managed to diminish the doubts of some in the black community who questioned if Obama was black enough to be deemed the first black president.
Despite releasing his birth certificate, 40 percent of Americans are still holding on to the belief that Obama was not born on American soil. It makes you wonder what else these people believe. So, for the purpose of giving you a heads up on all the other distractions posing as “news” items that may be coming down the pipeline—or just for sheer kicks and giggles—I present to you a list of my top five wackiest conspiracy theories involving President Obama:
1. Obama is an undercover Muslim scheming to bring tens of millions of Muslims from the Middle East into the United States to turn this country into an Islamic nation by the end of his second term: That’s right, Obama wants to turn our God fearing nation into a big ‘ole theocracy dictatorship. You know what that means, right? Burqas for everyone! According to Mother Jones, this gem of a theory was started by Avi Lipkin, a former assistant of the Israeli Prime Minister Assistant. Lipkin said that a senior “United Nations official told him that the United States” will be a Muslim country by the end of Obama’s second term. Lipkin also claims that Barack is short for Mubarak and that his overall goal is to destroy Israel. Of course, Obama was spotted eating pork on a few occasions, so I imagine he as some explaining to do.
2. Obama is a closeted homosexual and a crackhead, who once murdered his gay choir leader to cover up his secret lifestyle: [Blank stare] Larry Sinclair, a petty criminal specializing in forgery, started spreading his wild accusations via YouTube prior to the 2008 election. I won’t go into much detail since it is too convoluted and vulgar for print, but the video is available to watch in its entirety. It should be noted that at one point, journalists apparently took Sinclair seriously enough to attend a press conference held at the National Press Club.
Birth Certificate or Not, It Will Never Be Enough
by Mo Kelly
I was both shocked and dismayed to see that President Obama made any effort whatsoever to reveal his birth certificate. Mind you, another birth certificate, just as authentic and legal as the short form seen heretofore by everyone. It’s disappointing in an innumerable ways.
Some say this finally puts to rest any question of his natural born citizenship status. Others might argue (as has the president) that this removes unnecessary distractions, which have prevented America from concentrating on the more important issues.
The reality is that neither is true.
It doesn’t matter President Obama revealed “another” birth certificate, because the non believers and disbelievers were never in any way concerned about facts or truth. If they were, the State of Hawaii would have been enough to put their hearts at ease long ago.
Although Arizona Senator John McCain was born on a 10-mile stretch of U.S. property in Central America, there was never doubt from Birthers of the legitimacy of his citizenship or the authenticity of his birth certificate after the fact. They were more comfortable believing that the man born down in the Central American region was more “American” than the man born in Hawaii…meaning, in America.
This was never about any birth certificate. In fact, the conversation has already turned to whether President Obama was worthy of receiving an Ivy League education, despite the fact that we already know George W. Bush was not.
There was never any legitimate question as to President Obama’s citizenship status and this latest revelation will do nothing to dissuade this “element” in America from seeking other weapons of mass distraction in which to busy themselves and our president.
Even as we speak, the Birther movement has already questioned the authenticity and timing of the document’s release.
It will never, ever be good enough.
President Obama must stop pacifying and elevating ignorance. He should know better by now and not have fallen for the okie doke…again.
This is about obstruction, and the continuing effort to de-legitimize his administration. Doing so legitimizes the previous disrespect of the office, the inexcusable racist rhetoric and vitriol. We should be smart enough to recognize the various iterations of this insanity over the past 4 years. I would rather the President call it for what it is, really chastise and check America for her indefensible behavior. He should get something out of this too, not just the people who still think the world is flat and or that Jim Crow is still in effect.
