It is officially baby season out in Hollywood. Plus-size model Anansa Sims, the daughter of iconic black model Beverly Johnson, just became a new mommy all over again after giving birth to a baby boy on Election day. Anansa and her hubby, former NFL player David Patterson, welcomed their second child, David Bernard Patterson III, on Tuesday, November 6, according to her rep.

David entered the world at 8 lbs and 13 oz and measured 21 inches long, which would be expected considering the height of his parents. Anansa and her husband jumped the broom in 2010 and wasted no time popping out the babies. With this little cutie’s birth, the couple’s 16-month-old daughter Ava Brielle became a big sister.

Beverly Johnson told People she’s ecstatic about the birth of her grandson, saying:

“[I'm] feeling so blessed! Being a grandparent is the best!!! I am so in love! Go straight to grandparenthood!”

Check out pics of the proud parents and their little man on the next few pages. Congratulations!

So many children to highlight today! If you didn’t know, Monroe and Moroccan (aka, Dem Babies), the cutie pie twins of Mariah and Nick Cannon, celebrated their 1st birthday on April 30. Jet setting around the world with mom and dad, the twins celebrated their birthday in Paris. According to Blackcelebkids.com, at the Plaza Athenee where the family was staying, they had a small party in a room decorated with all kinds of balloons (including some that actually said, “Dem Babies”) and lavish gifts, of course. The twins were dressed to the nines in white and cream ensembles, and mom and dad were looking fabulous as well. Check out their party room and the cute (belated) birthday boy and girl below.

Ever seen Cuba Gooding Jr.’s kids? No? Me neither. But his sons were seen out and about recently with dad getting their family night on after a Coldplay concert in Hollywood. Spencer, 17, and Mason, 15, look just like their pops and look like they’re going to be a couple of heartbreakers. Check them and their cute father out below. Gotta love family nights!

And lastly in cute kid news, this cute little bundle of joy below is the daughter of Anansa Sims, the plus-size modeling daughter of the iconic Beverly Johnson. Sims’s husband is David Patterson, and together they have this adorable 9-month-old by the name of Ava. We can already tell she’s going to be modeling like mom and grandma. She’s too adorable! Check out more of the little cutie-patootie below!

(NYT) — Gov. David A. Paterson criticized lawmakers on Tuesday for passing budget bills this week that did not plan for a likely shortfall of up to $1 billion, saying he would call lawmakers back to Albany in the middle of the fall campaign season if they did not deal with the problem beforehand.

“They don’t have a plan to solve this problem,” Mr. Paterson said during one of four radio interviews he conducted on Tuesday. “There’s kind of an understanding usually that the governor will not call the Legislature back during the election — I will.”

(NYT) – Seeking to outflank Gov. David A. Paterson, the State Senate and Assembly offered a joint budget plan on Saturday that would restore hundreds of millions of dollars in education and social service cuts that Mr. Paterson had sought in an emergency budget bill that he submitted on Friday.

But Democratic leaders in both chambers said that they were still negotiating about how to raise enough revenue to pay for the restored spending and close what remains of a budget gap of more than $9 billion. Mr. Paterson has said he would veto any budget that includes deficit borrowing, the preference of many Democratic lawmakers. Stopping short of that, he may also use line-item vetoes of any spending that goes above what he proposed in his executive budget in January.
