He’s Talking Again: Tyrese Says Women Should Take A “One Minute Man” As A Compliment

What happens when you put two tackheads together for an interview? Someone is bound to say something that makes us sane folk cringe a little bit. Well, this is what happened when Tyrese decided to pay Chelsea Handler a visit in promotion of his new film Fast & Furious 6.
Chelsea, who I’m convinced fetishizes black man, is known for her line of inappropriate questioning. And Tyrese is known, these days, for talking out the side of his neck. So as you might guess, these two produced quite the soundbite when she started asking him about his new single “Sex Aint Never Felt Better,” with Tank and Ginuwine.
Chelsea asked Tyrese, what constitutes good sex for him and Tyrese, never one to shy away from speaking on women’s issues, had this to say:
“Well see they [women] got this thing about minute men. And so, when you’re a minute man, women get mad. But it’s actually a compliment because if you’re in the bed for like 45 minutes and nothing is happening, you should get your life together.”
Ok Black Ty. It might be a “compliment” but as a woman, speaking on women’s issues, it’s also selfish as hell. Most women are going to need more time than that. And while I’m sure that “one minute” thing might be flattering every once in a while, eventually, she’s going to be looking at you crazy.
But maybe that’s just me.
Ladies when a man is one his one minute steez, do you take it as a compliment? Let us know. Also if you want to see Tyrese explain it in his own words…

Come Clean: 50 Cent Confesses That Ciara Played A Major Role In Chelsea Handler Break-Up
The relationship between Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson and Chelsea Handler has been over for quite some time. Yet, people are still somewhat intrigued by it. It could be the odd couple-ish nature of their relationship or even the rumors surrounding what actually caused their break-up. Whatever the case, even with all of the time that has passed since the two went their separate ways, the media is still questioning them about the fling and break-up.
50 Cent recently paid shock jock, Howard Stern a visit. During the interview, 50 confirmed that his split from Handler had everything to do with his former flame, Ciara. The way 50 tells the story, Cici was upset to learn that he was dating Chelsea and made somewhat of a fuss about it prior to her appearance on Chelsea Lately. 50 expressed to Stern that he attempted to warn Chelsea ahead of time of possible tension. This infuriated Handler.
“Wouldn’t you want to tell someone that? How do you treat that if you had something from your past?” 50 expressed to Stern.
January of last year, Chelsea first spilled the beans to Stern regarding the love triangle.
“It was so dumb. it’s almost embarrassing. I really can’t remember the exact the details, but I’ll tell you what I can remember. I think one of his ex-girlfriends was coming on my show and she’s one of those singers -I can’t remember her name. She’s really hot. He was dating her I guess previous to me.
Right before Anguilla, Ciara–that’s her name!–was coming on the show, and he called me to tell me something about her like she still calls him all the time, and she still tells him that she loves him or something. And I’m at my job, and I go “Curtis, honestly this is like eighth grade Shyte. Why are you telling me this? This girl is coming on the show tomorrow, and now I have to look at her and think you guys have some weird thing going on or had going on.” It was so juvenile. I’m at my work and I work my A$$ off all the time, and I have million different things and even though it’s not like important work, I am working hard. I’m doing Shyte. He said, “I want you to hear this conversation” and he was like calling someone like a 3-way phone call. I go, “So you’re telling me this girl wants to get back together with you, but she’s upset that you’re dating me, is that what you’re saying?” He’s like, “Yeah, so I just want you to know when she comes.”
Isn’t it funny how things work out? These two are still blaming Ciara for their break-up, meanwhile Cici appears to be happily in love with someone new.

Who’s Going To Be The One To Tell Chelsea Her Jokes On Black Women Just Aren’t Funny?
There’s something about Chelsea Handler that I find partially annoying but for the most part just not funny. In stark contrast for her affinity for black men, particularly rappers, she has a special place in her heart for trying to keep the stereotypical black girl meme going and it’s really not a good look.
The other night she went on a tirade about wanting to find a new “black lady friend” and the commentary went something like this:
“As I mentioned yesterday, Tracy Lately is looking for some new friends, not that I don’t like the ones I have, I’m just looking for better ones. In particular, I am looking for a new Black lady friend. I don’t want to make it a racial thing, bu the last Black girlfriend I had robbed me. I tried to be friends with Lonnie Love but during a recent slumber party, she ate my chaise lounge. My bad, I should have never purchased a chaise lounge made out of waffles. I recently found a new candidate on the new VH1 dating series, Tough Love New Orleans.”
This is when she cuts to the video clip of her new-found black BFF and continues with:
“This whole thing has got me wondering, why in predominately African-American films is there never a sassy White friend? Tyler Perry, last time I checked, I am White and I am sassy. Here is my audition: Leave him girlfriend. That man ain’t no good for you b***h. [Insert neck roll and finger snaps.]
I’m pretty sure there was a laugh reel or something going because it just wasn’t that funny. I wasn’t particularly offended, I just felt like I’d seen that before and didn’t really need to see it again because it wasn’t so funny the first time. On Womanist Musings though, Renee Martin didn’t let her off the hook so easily. She wrote:
“I am sick to death of these negative characteristics being treated as the monolithic representative standard of Black womanhood. I am sick to death of White women perpetuating them as truth, while never acknowledging that these very same tropes benefit them. It’s all ya ya sisterhood of the traveling pantsuits when they need something, and remember your place when they don’t. Mostly though, I am sick to death of comedians using comedy to justify unleashing bigoted screeds for laughs. If you have to depend upon perpetuating an ism to be perceived as funny, you are not a comedian, you’re a bigot.”
All I have to say about the ghetto black girl axe she continues to grind it, don’t you have better things to do, like visit 50 Cent in the hospital? Oh, and please don’t give Tyler Perry any ideas. The last thing we need is a “Madea Goes to Chelsea Lately.”
Check out the clip of her ghetto black girl routine and tell us what you think. How do you feel about Chelsea Handler?

Kelly Rowland Talks Being Empowered in her 30s and Having a Good Man
Last year was a big year for Kelly Rowland and 2012 is off to a pretty good start for the singer as well. Kelly could possibly take home a Grammy for her hit single “Motivation” on Sunday and when she stopped by Chelsea Lately last night, she told the late night host that she’s “got a good man” now. (From the way she said it she wasn’t just talking for the cameras.)
In addition to spilling about her new boo, and showing off the girls in a black corset top halter dress, Kelly also talked about her 80/20 rule when it comes to maintaining her washboard abs, and coming into her own in her 30s. Check out the video clip and tell us what you think.
Are you happy Kelly is finally getting her time to shine?

Dear Toni Braxton, Please Go Play in the Snow Quietly
I have really come to love Toni Braxton from watching her and her sisters on the Braxton’s Family Values every Thursday—I truly have—but she is really pulling me back with the commentary on her dating life and it seems to be getting worse.
It was sort of cute when she called dating a white man “playing in the snow” on Anderson Cooper, but her appearance on Chelsea Lately last night was just…I have to say it, ignorant.
She told Chelsea Handler she’s playing in the snow—again—and said, “It’s kind of nice. It’s something different.” Then she said the man’s skin is different. “The skin feels different, that’s kind of nice. It smells different… Is that in my head? I can’t explain it.”
She didn’t even catch on when Chelsea cleverly, and obviously, made fun of her when she said, “No you can’t explain it because when you try to explain it, you sound totally racist but you’re not.”
Then to throw all black people in the same, “I don’t do anything that involves nature and getting my hair wet” boat, she says, “He likes hiking–black people don’t hike; kayaking, is that how you say it—that stuff too. But other than that, it’s the same.”
Toni says she’s also dating her ex-husband and hasn’t slept with “the white guy,” as Chelsea called him, since they’re only six-eight weeks into their relationship, and because she’s been on lock down for 10 years, she says “I’m not comfortable with the Slore in me yet.”
Oh Toni, where do we begin? The good thing is that she’s Toni Braxton, meaning no one is coming to her for commentary on anything of substance, and white people probably don’t even know she’s still making music so hopefully this foolishness can be swept under the rug. But can you imagine the outrage if a white person said black people smell differently—even jokingly? Apologies would have been demanded within minutes. But here she goes saying they smell different, like wet dog perhaps? And feel different? C’mon Toni, maybe it’s just been too long since you’ve felt skin other than Keri’s?
In 30 seconds she became the poster child for the inspiration behind every black girls do run, black girls swim, black girls like nature campaign there is. Yes, some white people are a little more nature-loving and adventurous than black people but black people don’t hike Toni, really?
And what’s up with the “Slore in me” comment? I know sometimes women like to play with that word to sort of give them a pass to be sexually liberated, but not when you’re 40-plus and dating. I need her to stop trying to play cute, naive, jungle fever sex kitten and be a grown non-condescending woman. If “white guy” has even half of a brain, he’ll exit stage left immediately.
Watch the embarrassing clip below and peep the end where she gives Chelsea a little lesson in Russian: “I don’t know if you know Rosetta Stone, but if you say ‘yellow blue bus’ that means I love you.” Somebody take all mics away from this woman unless she’s singing into it.
What do you think about Toni Braxton? Is there any hope for her career revival, much less her dating life?
