So there I was, minding other people’s business on Instagram, when I ran across the image of someone with an impeccable set of abs but still serving curves in my “Explore” page timeline. Come to find out, this body belonged to reality star and entrepreneur Draya Michele:

Truth be told, though, she isn’t new to this fitness thing. Draya has been hard at work keeping her body in tip-top shape for years now. And after she had her second child, son Jru in 2016, she headed right back to the gym just three weeks later and has been on the move ever since building muscle and her best body.
Outside of working out but within staying healthy, the 32-year-old has always been a fan of consuming a lot of water. As she told FashionBombDaily about the latter a few years ago, “Increase your water intake,” she said. “Any amount is better than what you’ve been drinking. Your body and skin will thank you for it in the long run.”
She’s also a fan of a balanced diet. She doesn’t deprive herself of some of her guilty pleasures, but she understands the importance of portion control.
“I try to cook as much as I can and I don’t necessarily cook healthy, but I use very small portions to keep the calories at bay,” she said. “I love soda……but my skin and body [don’t]. I’m a cheater about once a week.”
And these days, what keeps her motivated with her workouts is hanging out with other people who appreciate the benefits of hard work in the gym.
“Hanging out with fitness girls all summer long,” she wrote on Twitter this past spring. “Y’all ain’t about to have me in these streets not motivated.”
