I recently read about something called the “We don’t care about” list. This is a list that a bride and groom, planning their wedding, can make of the details that they’re not hung up about on their big day. Here is why this list is so important. First off, it tells your wedding planner and vendors not to waste time on the upsell with you for those items. Like you’ve said on the list, those details can be bare bones, simple and straightforward. It can also save you a lot of money. If you get the best of the best for every detail at your wedding, you could end up easily spending five to 10 thousand more dollars than if you’d made your “We don’t care about” list. Take it from couples that have already had their big day: there are some details nobody even notices. Here are wedding details that are overrated and overpriced.

Signature cocktails
Your guests do not care that you hired one of the best local mixologists to make signature cocktails, inspired by your love story. They may have one of those drinks and say, “Aw. That’s nice.” But beyond that, they’ll just want whiskey on the rocks, vodka sodas, beer, and wine. And you’re paying that mixologist’s high fee for nothing.
