Recently, a few members of the cast of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reunited at Nobu restaurant in Malibu. Despite the fact that they come together more often than people think (and often document it), it didn’t stop folks from being excited to see the gang all back together, with the exception of James Avery. He passed away in 2013 and the cast reunited to attend his memorial. When sharing an image of himself with Will Smith, Tatyana Ali, Karyn Parsons, Joseph Marcell and Daphne Maxwell Reid, Alfonso Ribeiro paid homage to the man who played Uncle Phil:

Smith also shared his own selfie from their outing:

But there was another important person missing from this love fest. No, I’m not talking about the guy who played Little Nicky. Not Jazz, either. I’m talking about Janet Hubert, the original Aunt Vivian. She caught wind of the photo and responded to any questions people may have had about how she feels about this reunion of sorts. She didn’t mince words in a message on Facebook.

“I know the media hoe Alphonso Ribero has posted his so called reunion photo,” Hubert wrote on Facebook. “Folks keep telling me about it. He was always the a– wipe for Will. There will never be a true reunion of the Fresh Prince. I have no interest in seeing any of these people on that kind of level.”

She added, “I am not offended in the least, by this photo… it was an event for Karen’s charity. It does however prompt me to take some meetings in Hollywood to pitch my memoir PERFECTION IS NOT A SITCOM MOM, and tell of the behind the scenes story before I leave this earth.”

Over the years we’ve all heard rumblings about what possibly caused all of the bad blood between Hubert and her former cast mates, especially with Smith. According to Ribeiro, it was something they legally weren’t supposed to talk about. Still, the rumors have always been there. From disputes over money to possible power struggles and unrequited requests for people’s names to be cleared, more than 20 years later, the drama is still at an all-time high. Obviously, there is more to the story of the exit of the original Aunt Viv, and it sounds like Hubert is looking to tell it all sooner than later.
