Countess Vaughn’s self-acceptance struggles have been well documented, from the entertainer’s decision to get lipo and butt implants to her overuse of weave which lead to a terrible skin infection 12 years ago. But these days, the former Moesha star is getting more and more comfortable in her skin — so much so that she’s rocking a no-hair look.

Yesterday, Countess posted this picture on Instagram proving she knows she’s cute with or without hair. It was just two years ago that the 38 year old told us how she’d fallen so in love with wigs so much she didn’t even want to take them off — and she didn’t.
“In 2004, my hairstylist introduced to lace-front wigs and I fell in love with them, immediately,” she told the hosts of The Doctors. “You have a full-hair line; I was wearing them 24/7. Five years later the drama came in. The red flag was the oozing from my ears, forehead, the whole nape around my head. The puss had a horrible smell and it was painful. I let it go by for six months. What I did not realize, I had a bad reaction to the glue I used to apply the wig. My hair started to fall out.”
Though Countess has since gone back to wearing wigs and weaves for professional purposes, it looks like she’s also learned to embrace who she is without extensions. And she looks good too!
