If waiting up all night for Rae Rae to come home from the club has been the biggest obstacle in your relationship, consider yourself blessed. The Skin Deep just presented the story of Kat and Christina, an interracial, lesbian, deaf-hearing couple whose sheer union is a struggle on a daily basis.
The pair who’s been married for five years was asked to recall their favorite memories of being together, one of which was Christina being pregnant with their son, Jackson. But they were also pushed to talk about the not-so-pleasant aspects of their relationship, like how Christina’s deafness affects them socially and as parents (not being able to hear when the baby cries), the sacrifices each makes for their love, and how their families treat them.
