We told you recently that former “Real Chance of Love” star, Ahmad “Real” Givens, passed away after a long fight with stage four colon cancer. He was first diagnosed in 2013 and underwent surgery, as well as chemotherapy. Things were looking up, but late last year his health took a turn for the worst. He succumbed to his illness on February 21.

Givens was laid to rest yesterday in California, and his brother, Kamal (aka, Chance), and a friend of the family, posted some very heartrending images from the burial grounds. And while I would I wanted take these kinds of photos, let alone share them, everyone deals with grief differently:

So sad. But hopefully Chance, his brother Micah and their friends and family will try and be positive about the situation, because positivity is what Ahmad said carried him through his health battle. The fact that he lived for two years after being told he would die a week after he was originally diagnosed, is amazing, and a testament to the fight he put up:

“I want people to watch me go through it and see that being positive does help. When you have a disease like that, you don’t have time for negative thinking. You need to keep your mind and body right because that’s what worked for me. My doctors counted me out. How did I go from having two days to live to still being here a year later? You gotta be positive.”
