We showed you the video yesterday of a young woman getting assaulted on the F train in New York City early Saturday morning. In case you need a short summary: The young woman was caught on camera making fun of the man and his style, and when he called her a bi**h, she hit him in the back of the head with her shoes. Without even thinking about it, the man cocked back and slapped her in the face, and a brawl ensued, with the young woman’s friends jumping in to defend her honor.

While we don’t know what started the back-and-forth between these two that inevitably exploded, we do know what happened after the camera phone cut off–folks were arrested.

The young woman on camera who started this whole situation is Danay Howard, 21, and even though she might have taken the world’s hardest slap, she was slapped again with some heavy charges for her behavior. Because she hit Jorge Pena, 25, in the head with her shoes, she was given a felony assault charge, as well as disorderly conduct charges. Her friends, Shanique Campbell, 20, and Kevin Gil, 21, received misdemeanor assault and disorderly conduct charges for getting involved.

As for Pena, he was also given a misdemeanor assault and disorderly conduct charge for his part in defending himself in the subway brawl.

All four people were arrested at the West Fourth Street train station around 5 a.m., and Gil was taken in with minor cuts to his face from his fight with Pena.

Hopefully all four individuals learned something from this mess, specifically Ms. Howard: Don’t start none, won’t be none.
