We were devastated to learn that Malaysia Pargo filed for divorce from her husband of 8 years, Jannero Pargo. But we can’t say that we were shocked. Rumors of infidelity on Jannero’s part and Instagram subliminals foretold the trouble that was to come. In her filing, the “Basketball Wives LA” star cited “irreconcilable differences” and did not offer an explanation for the split in her issued statement a couple of months ago.
However, during a recent chat with HipHollywood, the mom of three expressed the she was “forced” into the single life, which is interesting considering that she’s the one who filed for divorce.
“[The single life] is something different for me. I’m not saying that I’m loving it. I was forced into it. I didn’t have a choice. I’m more of a relationship type of person, so I would rather be in my marriage if I had the choice. But ish happens and I’m going to just have my faith in God.”
It’s unclear whether or not Malaysia means that it was Jannero’s idea to breakup or if she means that his choices forced her to make the filing. But she appears to be staying positive and making the best of her current situation.
“I do [feel like a brand new Malaysia]. Some of the things I’m doing now, my ex wouldn’t allow. I get to show a little more skin. So it’s like, ‘ahhhhhhhh.’ Let me go through this for a moment, y’all.”
Maybe this is all for the best. On another note, Malaysia has been fueling spin-off rumors on Instagram lately. She recently changed her handle to MalasyiaInTheCity and has been flooding Instagram feeds with a coinciding hashtag.
