Okay, you can call it being sensitive, but not everybody is open and ready to answer questions about their life when they’re getting to know new people. If you’ve ever met someone at a soiree, while networking, or even at your job, some questions are standard, while others for one reason or another can rub folks the wrong way. I’ve never had a problem with someone asking me about my profession, but I have a colleague who finds it extremely rude.
