Winter is finally gone and the weather has taken a turn for the better. Long gone are the cold days filled with snow and icy-cold temperatures. Spring is one of the best seasons to enjoy time outside with a man you’re dating or with your significant other. With perfect weather and an over-abundance of things to see and do, spring is definitely the ideal time to go on dates and really enjoy yourself. Here are 14 of the best spring dates that you’ll want to try out this year!

Plan a picnic

A picnic is one of the best ways to enjoy time outside, along with a nice meal. Picnics are perfect for spring and they make for a fun and relaxing  date. Make the picnic unique by whipping up your own food and other goodies, and be sure to ask your date what type of food he/she prefers!

Check out a local national park

National and wilderness parks are all over, so no matter where you live, you’re sure to find one. Usually these parks are free or only cost a nominal fee to get in, and what’s better than being able to connect with nature and the person you’re on a date with? These parks offer all sorts of scenic views that are perfect for picture taking.

Have lunch or dinner outdoors

Find an outdoor cafe and reserve a table! If you don’t want to make your own food and have a picnic, enjoy the beautiful springtime weather by eating at an outdoor restaurant or cafe. Many restaurants offer an outside eating area where you’re able to be served and enjoy your meal.

Go biking

There’s nothing wrong with a little exercise in combination with a date. You don’t have to go to the extreme and find yourself biking on dirt and rock trails. Instead, find a place where you rent bikes and where there are paved bike trails. It’s always fun to cruise on a bike while talking to your date. Besides, it’s great exercise as well!

Try mini-golf

Even if you have the worst aim in the world and your hand-eye coordination is as bad as it gets, mini-golf is always an exciting date that is sure to bring all sorts of laughs — and of course a little bit of competition. Nowadays there’s all sorts of mini-golf places, some even let you mini-golf at night using glow-in-the-dark lights! This is bound to be a memorable date.

Go for a beach stroll

Though beaches are most commonly visited during the summer months, beat the crowd and spend a few hours with your date by taking a walk up and down the shore line. A beach stroll is especially nice if you want to go on a romantic type of date that sets a nice scene. Put your toes in the water, write in the sand, and enjoy each others’ company.

Attend a sporting event

All guys love going to sporting events, and even if you’re not the biggest man, be a sport (no pun intended) and tag along. Wear your local team colors and put on your best cheering voice. Sporting events always make for an exciting date, and who knows, maybe you’ll learn a little something about the sport and gain more interest in it!

Walk through a botanical garden

So flowers and plants aren’t the most manly date to go on, but how often do you get the chance to walk through a botanical garden full of all sorts of beautiful blooms? Botanical gardens aren’t open year round so once spring comes, it’s best to visit one of the gardens. Be sure to take plenty of pictures and maybe plan a more masculine date later on!

Go to a local festival

With the spring weather comes all sorts of local festivals and carnivals. From outdoor music concerts to craft and food festivals, there’s never a shortage of fairs to attend. Check around locally and see if there are any festivals in your area that you want to go to. If not, maybe plan a date by traveling to a near-by city that is bound to have festivals galore.

Take a tour of a nearby town

Spring is one of the best times to explore outside. Playing tourist or being tourists on a date is surely an exciting date. Pick a nearby town or city that you don’t usually visit very often and see what is has to offer. The two of you together are bound to come across some exciting shops, restaurants, and people.

Find a drive-through theater

Give your TV and DVD player a rest and look for a local drive-through theater. These theaters only tend to be open during the warmer seasons, so take advantage of them while you can. See what movies are playing, pack a couple of snacks along with you, especially popcorn, and enjoy the show from the comfort of your car.

Head to the zoo

The zoo is another one of those places that is only open during certain seasons, and spring is one of them! Spring is one of the best times to go to the zoo not only because of the warm weather, but because a lot of baby animals tend to be born in the springtime. Bring your camera along and prefer for an overload of cuteness.

Check out a local winery

Wine on a warm spring day is nothing short of amazing. Some wineries are open during the springtime, so why not go on a date and try all sorts of different wines? You’ll easily learn whether or not you two are wine compatible, and if you’re able to find a wine that you really like, you’ll be able to take a bottle home with you. Toast to a good date and hopefully a future to your blossoming relationship!

Go to an orchard

Fresh food that you’ve picked all on your own is as good as it gets. Orchards open during the spring season and depending on the month, there are all sorts of fruits and vegetables that you can pick. Once you’ve gathered your fresh produce, enjoy it as is or go home and cook a meal together.

Go to a theme park

Theme parks make for a great spring date, especially if you and your date are daring enough to get on rollercoasters and other types of rides. Theme parks are way more about rollercoasters though. They make for a good day to walk around, talk, play games, and hopefully win some prizes! But if you are an adrenaline junkie, theme parks are especially perfect for you and your date.

I really didn’t want to click through 15 pages, but for the spring time when it is pretty outside I like to chill at the park. I plan on having a picnic this spring/summer. With whom?….I don’t know yet.
