The late 80s to early 90s were when the Ohio-native was in his hay day. We laughed watching him play “Semmi” in “Coming to America” and his talk show was an instant hit on the Fox Network. But the good friend of fellow comedian, Eddie Murphy, never quite gained stardom beyond his show, which ended in 1994.
