Why Are You Hiding Your Boos? Celeb Women Who Are Always Acting Single

If you think for a minute that we believe that these following women aren’t holding down relationships, then you must’ve taken us for fools. What we do know is that these ladies are not taking any man seriously enough to introduce them to their public lives. Luckily, Kelly Rowland finally let her new boo out of the bag and is now having him accompany her out in public. Did you see the Grammys? We’re so happy for Rowland. But these other ladies – we’re just dying to know what’s going on as we rarely get couple sightings of them arm in arm with a man worthy of their calibers.

"michelle williams"

Michelle Williams

She told People in 2008 that her dating life was “unfortunate” and that she hadn’t been in a relationship in over two years. Well, it’s been nearly four years since that interview and we haven’t seen Williams come publicly forward with a relationship or arm candy although she was linked to basketball player Taj Gibson in 2010.

How come black women are afraid to date white men, but black men are cocky in strutting out white women as their dates/girlfriends?

  • Keepinitreal

I wouldn’t let the “Nosy Media” know who I was dating either, some thing should just “Stay Private” good for these ladies, maybe the other “Chicken Heads” in the industry can learn something from these “Class Acts”…..I digress…

  • 4arkie

Oprah and Gayle are lovers. Everyone knows that.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_G2YOXCDFLYBHO5V5SQS5CUPVNY Retsyn

I imagine a date with Gayle King would begin with 45 minutes of her talking about herself, and then, “Well, that’s enough about me. What do you think of Oprah?”

Rocsi is not black, she’s latino.

  • DRAMA!

Taj Gibson is my cousin–first cousin my mom and his dad are brother and sister. TRUST ME he never dated Michelle Williams. You people kill me reporting WRONG information!

  • Ivan Renko

Gayle King has no man because…well…we all know who her real “man” is. Two others who seem to hide their men: Cosby kids Raven Simone (who claims she has the perfect man) and Kiesha Knight-Pulliam (who I suspect could be a lipstick lesbian…a really gorgeous lipstick lesbian…the kind that just pisses men off).

  • Rod

That’s the best thing to do. Cause ppl today are so jealous. They will steal your lover on purpose, break up families. You understand what I’m saying? But how can they do that, if they don’t know who your lover is?

  • iHeartMarijuana

The rumors about Jay and Free are ridiculous – completely based on nothing.
Jill Marie Jones is so freaking hot.  I don’t know what it is about her, but she just has this THING that makes her so gorgeous and so alluring.

Average single  guy here with comment about the LACK of RELATIONSHIPS for beautiful celebrity black women >,  > if your a black beautiful successful celebrity woman past 30, your’e most likely NOT going to be blessed in relationship with THE type of guy you dream about.     SOLUTION > IF you are a YOUNG black women destined for fame & forturne,  YOU better LET a good GUY who likes you actually begin  RELATIONSHIP while your still in your 20’s,   This way for you two can GROW together.
But if you remain selfish and want it to be about the all important YOU,  then realize you will LOSE possibility to have long lasting love, relationship, marriage & children.
Be WARNED;  the FEMINIST movement is a POISONED ideology that makes false promises but in the end will ROB successful intelligent beautiful women of the possibility of traditional  possibilities of marriage with Mr Average Good Man, and will instead lead a young woman out into a desert to be abandoned in the dry lonely place of middle aged ALONENESS without husband or children..
I have a quiet ‘average’ type of woman as my g/f,  she takes me to art shows,  I meet beautiful BUT totally single successful ‘artist’ type of women in thier 40’s,   TOO late,  they chose art instead of a man,  the good guys are gone or chasing younger women.
I went to  shakespear play in Chicago,  met the lead female actor who happened to be beautiful black woman in her LATE 30’s,   very talented,  thousands applauded her performance,  but she goes home ALONE.

LADIES > Once your past 30, it’s over, THE good guys YOU want will paradoxically become more unavaiable to you as you increase in fame & fortune.
Let us consider the  successful, beautiful and famous Gayle King.   A viviacious intelligent fun, cool, dynamic woman,  BUT WHERE IS HER GUY ?    It’s just WAY TOO LATE.   He isn’t out there.
First of all,  most successful men her age are married,  the ones who are single are trying to date much younger women, and IF there is an eligable single guy out there – – I doubt a successful 45 yr old single guy wants to trade in his dignity to try to kiss up to the overwhelming shadow of a famous powerful celebrity woman.   Just is NOT going to happen.
Single women who become  powerful ‘celebrity’ women tend to end up ALONE unless they get married while in their 20’s  { Jada & Will }  That is the reality.

    • Ivan Renko

Gayle has no man because she doesn’t want a “man”.

  • Teeguy12

I’m questioning why you wrote this article more so than why these women don’t flaunt their love lives. They are obviously very successful ladies that may not need a man to validate their self worth, so why can’t we all accept there is nothing wrong with that? They have every right to have a private personal life (if they so choose) without a blogger trying to analyze their actions. Next time please write about something more encouraging for young black women to read instead of giving them something to criticize their peers for.

  • lyecry

Why does everyone have to know your personal business? They either want to know because 1) they are nosy 2) they want to talk about u…smh Those who are SO concernd about who one is screwing that just HAS to know doesn’t have a life or some serious personal issues. Once u let too many in on your relationship that’s when things start going wrong on some “he said, she said” ish.

You know maybe the people who do get the most publicity should take note from the people you listed….It get very sickening to constantly read, see or hear about every aspect of certain celebrities relationship (think Angelina/Brad or Beyonce/Jay-Z)……These people are no different nor better than us therefore the media need to quit putting them on a pedestal….The bottom line is respect their privacy and just enjoy the work they put out……….Its none of our business anyway.

    • Teeguy12

I agree with you that certain celebs get way too much attention but we can’t say the media controls it because we are the ones reading this. In actuality we are the ones “green-lighting” those repetitive headlines and can choose to stop buying magazines or reading internet blogs that inundate us with the trivialities of “star life” but it’s a social drug and I don’t see anyone going to a 12-step meeting for that.

  • Zanaa31

Wish yal wouldve had more relevant ppl….the paparazzi aint, checkin for these heaux

  • LOL

Most of the women that are listed aren’t really people that the paparazzi are chasing around. It’s very easy for them to keep their personal life private.

  • Guest

Let’s be honest, this site especially always has something to say. You are essentially complaining that people haven’t come forward with their relationships; however, for the ones that do, you have posts like “We can’t believe they are dating.” I am sure that either way, this site would have something to say (As well as a gang of others) But you definitely prove the “damned if you do/damned if you don’t” thing

  • Lender1

    we don’t see because:
1.We don’t run in the same circles
2.They have their lives and we have ours.
3.We don’t care what they are doing

as they should! it seems the less people know about your relationships the longer they last. Not every person you date is worthy of being introduced to the public and sometimes the public isn’t worthy of being introduced to everyone you date! Many of these women we’ve watched over the course of several years and have likely had several suitors in that time. Why risk the ridicule of so called fans shoving the title of “WH*RE” on you and dissecting why you can’t seem to “keep a man” ie Halle, J-Lo. It seems as if celebrities arent allowed to have failing or even functioning relationships once we sink our teeth into their business. A little long winded but I say all of it to say…I don’t blame them one bit

    • Love_Sexy

And i agree with your point 100%.

Good point.  I think it is very stupid of people to declare your relationship to people who are not close personal friends or family even if you are not celebs. It really is best if you keep your relationship quiet, not a secret.

Also many black celebs keep their relationships secret because they are dating white, asian or other people but still want people to think they are repping the black community hard.
