The latest trend for moms-to-be: baby planners.

Like an event or wedding planner, they are for–according to a report on ABC News Philadelphia–“expectant moms who want to be fully prepared before that little bundle of joy comes home.”

Hmm, when I was pregnant, I found the thought of actual motherhood to be more daunting than the shopping and planning I had to do, but I guess some ladies need that extra help.

Baby planner Shannon Choe of Premiere Baby Concierge sure thinks so, and at $75 to $150 an hour, Choe must be performing some magic for these mamas. According to the article, baby planners like Choe help new moms sort through all the strollers, bottles and car seats, oh my, to create a registry, throw the baby shower and design the nursery. Also available: a post baby inventory to help you assess what you may still need after all going through all those gifts.

I’ve got to admit, I had a few baby planners too: my great mommy friends and family who didn’t charge me a cent.
