Charlie's Angels

The revamped Charlie’s Angels film you didn’t know you needed is on the way, and it’s a more colorful offering than ever before.

There’s no more Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Lui. This time around, there is former Twilight star Kristen Stewart (who plays Sabina Wilson), Aladdin star Naomi Scott (who plays Elena Houghlin), and British actress Ella Balinska (who plays Jane Kano), who is the Black angel we’ve been waiting for in the feature films. Aside from new faces, there is new drama, with one of the ladies blowing the whistle on some dangerous technology being developed and in turn, forcing all of the ladies, Angels that is, to hop into action to save the world.

Actress Elizabeth Banks is the new Bosley (there is more than one in this film), and she’s also the director and mind behind the screenplay. Jane is the brawn, a former MI-6 agent. Sabina is the one who, with the help of costumes and disguises, “runs the ground game.” Elena is the newbie looking to put that scary technology we told you about on blast and ends up joining the ranks.

The trailer is promising and very action-packed. There are fights, explosions, dance sequences, jumping out of planes, and of course, the classic Charlie’s Angels pose at the end. Did we mention Djimon Honsou is also in the picture? We’re already thoroughly entertained.

We’ll have to wait and see what the film has to offer when it’s released on November 15, but Banks is confident in this newest installment in the franchise.

“We’re introducing Charlie’s Angels to people,” she told PEOPLE. “The last movie came out almost 18 years ago, so there are many, many, especially young people who just don’t really know those movies. So we’re kind of reintroducing Charlie’s Angels to new fans but also reminding people who love Charlie’s Angels what they love about it and bringing them back into the theater.”
