Last year, we interviewed the Snowdens about their polygamous marriage, which they document on the TLC show, “Seeking Sister Wife.” The show follows the spiritually married couple, Dimitri and Ashley’s journey to find a woman who will fit their lifestyle. Essentially, they’re looking for a woman who is not only there for Dimitri sexually but to help raise the couple’s children.
It’s the reason why they moved potential sister-wife Vanessa into their home. But since she’s been there, Dimitri hasn’t slept with her. For those who are wondering if Ashley would be sleeping with Vanessa as well, issa no. It’s not a threesome situation. Dimitri is the only one who can sleep with other people.
One night as the couple are getting ready for bed, Dimitri asks Ashley if he’s allowed to start sleeping with Vanessa. She says that while “ready” is not the word, she is comfortable, she just wants one more thing to happen.
Dimitri: How are you feeling about Vanessa? Do you think we’re ready to take it to the next level?
Dimitri in confessional: Vanessa and I still have not been intimate because I respect Ashley and I respect our agreement. Also, I want to make sure that Ashley is completely comfortable before we even think about being intimate. But everything has been going great with Vanessa, so I’m ready to make the next step. Now, I just need to check in with Ashley to make sure we’re still on the same page, moving at the same pace.
Dimitri: We’re in the same house, under the same roof. Intimacy will happen soon, relatively speaking. Are you ready for that to happen?
Ashley: Am I ready? Does anyone get ready for someone else’s… I don’t know if that’s the word.
Ashley in confessional: I know that Dimitri and Vanessa are not going to refrain from intimacy forever and I want them to be able to have that connection. So it’s time to see what we need to do to push the relationship further.
Ashley to Dimitri: I guess, if I have to say if I’m ready for you guys to take that next step, I feel comfortable with that. I think, before that though, i just want to make sure we go through the detox diet with her.
Ashley in confessional: The detox diet is a way ensure that Vanessa’s ph is aligned with ours because we are going to be sharing Dimitri. To put it bluntly, one of the main issues with an unbalanced ph in women is yeast infections. So if our phs aren’t balanced and aligned, we could be giving each other yeast infections just by having sex with Dimitri and ain’t nobody got time for that.
Ashley to Dimitri: I think that needs to be first.
Dimitri: How long is that? How long is the diet again?
