(Atlanta Journal Constitution) — Lawyers for homes and business owners whose property was damaged in the September floods are demanding millions of dollars in damages from Atlanta-area cities. The Georgia Interlocal Risk Management Agency has opened up 290 files on flood claims filed against Austell, Powder Springs and Hiram. The agency is administered by the Georgia Municipal Association and provides property and liability insurance to cities.
