(State Journal Register) — The League of Women Voters is advocating a Republican plan to change the way we draw legislative maps. Why would the league take sides in a partisan battle? It’s a good question, especially when the stated “neutral” reason doesn’t hold water.
As its sole argument, the league claims that the Republican plan would take power out of the hands of politicians and give it to an independent commission. This is hardly the case.
