(Medill Reports) — Chicago could see more transit services cut if the state doesn’t start paying the $280 million it owes to the Regional Transportation Authority, one of its officials said Thursday.

The RTA comprises the Chicago Transit Authority, Metra and Pace.  It will be out of money by the end of May without state help, said Stephen Schlickman, RTA executive director.
