(Atlanta Journal-Constitution) — Democracy doesn’t come cheap, especially in Fulton County. An analysis by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution found Fulton County charged its cities much more to put on the last municipal election than DeKalb and Cobb counties charged their cities. Alpharetta in Fulton County paid twice what Marietta paid Cobb County, even though Marietta had a larger population and more candidates on the ballot.
