(NYTimes.com) — Congress returns this week for a seven-week stretch likely to focus on oversight of the financial markets, filling a Supreme Court vacancy and the federal budget.
In addition, Senator Harry Reid of Nevada, the Democratic majority leader, over the weekend told a crowd in Las Vegas that he intended to press ahead with immigration legislation, which would add a wild card to the Congressional schedule.
