Sometimes, you try your hardest to be early for an appointment or a date…and maybe your hair just isn’t sitting the way it needs to, or your makeup is all wrong, or you’re just overwhelmed with a large to-do list…

As much as you struggle to slap your shoes on, hail a cab or jump on a train, the clock tick, tick and ticks away.

Are you guilty of this phenomenon on a consistent basis? They say being five minutes early is being on time, and being on time is being late. Do you agree with that line of thinking? Isn’t it just a tad immature to show up for professional appointments a half hour or an hour late, all the time? Don’t others who are successful attribute some of their success to showing up to events on time?

Maybe you can be late for a party–and that’s okay, but for business meetings, what do you think? Sound off about the perceptions people have about CPT (Colored People’s Time) and when it is and is not okay to be late!
