Lady Gaga Throws LaurieAnn Gibson the Dueces

November 15, 2011  |

Despite LaurieAnn Gibson’s close ties to Lady Gaga, helping her rise to fame through doing the choreography for a number of hit videos, including “Telephone,” “Alejandro” and “Born This Way,” Lady Gaga has reportedly cut ties with Laurie Ann over a clash on the set of the video for “Judas.”

According to The Reporter, Gibson was uncomfortable with the religious imagery in the clip—and we all know how she gets when she’s not down with something (think Making the Band 4 Boom Kat Kat LaurieAnn). She told the magazine, “At one point, there was two completely different views and after the third glass of wine, I was like, ‘Listen, I don’t want lightning to strike me. I believe in the Gospel and I’m not going there.'”

She told MTV News, “I think the concept stuck with this one because, ultimately, there was a place where we wanted to leave the interpretation up to each individual and not take away [Gaga’s] power as a performer, as a dancer, as a star and to leave the moments for you to interpret and be inspired by the fact that everyone has a Judas in their life and that there is a place of deliverance. For me, I interpret differently than her, and for someone else, they’ll interpret it differently.”

Well, one thing that can’t be misinterpreted is confirmation from Lady Gaga’s spokesperson that LaurieAnn was fired. Do you think Lady Gaga can find someone as good as LaurieAnn for her next video?
