Lil Mo And Husband Karl Dargan Join Love And Hip Hop New York
Because reality TV is now the go-to backup plan for stars looking for a second wind in their career, it should come as no surprise that nearly every popular series now has a legitimate actress, singer or model among the Instagram models, secret girlfriends and wives. Musicians like Remy Ma, Brooke Valentine and Keyshia Cole joined the Love and Hip Hop franchise recently, and now, singer Lil Mo is part of the family.
According to The Jasmine Brand, the “Superwoman” singer and her husband, boxer Karl Dargan, will be a part of the new Love and Hip Hop New York cast, joining the likes of Remy Ma, Yandy Smith, Rich Dollaz, Juju and Safaree, the latter of the group moving from the Hollywood series back to his home of NYC. So what can we expect from the 38-year-old sharp-tongued singer’s storyline?
“Always an open book, popular hip hop singer ‘Lil Mo,’ has joined the cast with her new husband, gold medal winning boxer & Welterweight champ, Karl Dargan,” her description reads. “With over two decades in the music industry, Mo is hard at work on her sixth solo album while juggling her third marriage and blended family. But will the cheating rumors floating around threaten the couple’s happily ever after?”
Lil Mo won’t have to do much to get acclimated to the cast, as this isn’t her first foray into reality TV. She starred on R&B Divas: Los Angeles for three seasons. But it will be interesting to see if Lil Mo and Remy Ma come together at any point, considering Mo has had quite the feud with Remy’s close friend, singer Keyshia Cole.
But Mo seems quite excited to join the cast and celebrated the news with fans on social media:
If I can make it there. I'll make it ANYWHERE!! #lhhny #20years #LILMO #iamLOVE #iamHIPHOP #iamNY born and raised. Moved to Texas. Atlanta. Fayetteville. Baltimore. Philly. And she has reason to be excited considering she was reportedly let go from her last radio gig over unprofessionalism earlier this year. So this opportunity comes right on time for the mother of five.
Do you think she will make a good addition to the series? If you’re interested in finding out, you can tune into VH1 on October 30 to find out.
