There have been people who’ve said that attorney Lisa Bloom is on a mission to take down men, particularly Black men. With her client roster including women like Usher’s accuser Quantasia Sharpton, Blac Chyna and the women who have accused both Bill Cosby and Bill O’Reilly from everything from defamation of character to sexual assault, that may be so.
Then again, if these men hadn’t found themselves [allegedly] acting a damn fool, then we wouldn’t be here in the first place.
Bloom’s latest client is Montia Sabbag, the woman who was allegedly shown in a tape of Kevin Hart having sex with her.
Sabbag joined Bloom for a press conference today to explain that she’s become a victim in this process as well.
According to CNN, during the press conference, Sabbag said that she and Hart were involved about a month ago. But she was very clear to state that she was not involved in photographing him and she claims she did not extort him.
“I’m not an extortionist, I’m not a stripper. I’m a recording artist and an actress and I’ve not broken any laws. I had nothing to do with these recordings.” She continued, “My name and my picture have been released and lies written about me.”
Sabbag said that she hired Bloom to protect her rights.
Bloom believes Sabbag is a victim because someone, unknown to both her and Kevin, recorded the two without their knowledge and then released the video with their consent. In an article on TMZ, Bloom also states that it seems that Hart accused her client of extortion.
While Bloom said that she is working to ensure that the matter is investigated, law enforcement has declined to comment on whether or not they are doing so.
Sabbag concluded her remarks today saying, “I’m truly sorry for any involvement I had in this.”
