New Mom Janet Jackson Is Prepping For Another Tour And Has Already Lost More Than 65 Pounds For It
Janet Jackson has always had the very interesting ability to morph her body into the right amount of muscle and curve after putting on a few pounds. There have been a few times where the singer has been seen at a larger size before, but every time she’s prepped for a new album or tour, she’s managed to slim down fast and return to the spotlight with a sick set of abs. So it’s no surprise that the new mom has been working hard to get back in shape to tour yet again and has already seen major results.
According to a source close to the Jacksons, Janet has already lost more than 60 pounds to hit the road again for her State of the World Tour next month.
“She has lost more than 65 pounds and has her pre-baby body back and then some,” the source told Entertainment Tonight. “It’s possible that she could lose another 10 pounds before the start of the tour.”
Jackson shared an image of herself practicing her dance moves for fans on Monday, and as you can see, she does look lean:
The source told ET that her source of exercise has been the intense rehearsals for her tour. The 51-year-old is allegedly practicing 15 to 16 hours a day to be ready.
“It’s a grueling schedule but she is up to the task,” they said. “She wants to blow the crowd away. She will be perfection like her brother, Michael. She’s all about the showmanship.”
And Jackson has a lot of support as she prepares to get back on the road. After living with her estranged husband Wissam Al Mana in London for some time, the star is back in Los Angeles and closer to the rest of the Jackson family. Still, the source said that she plans to take her young son, Eissa, now seven months, with her on the road.
“Eissa is an easy baby,” the source stated. “He’ll be a great roadie!”
Of course, Jackson is embarking on a whole new tour following the cancellation of her Unbreakable shows after informing fans during the second leg of performances that she and Wissam were trying to start a family.
“My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour,” Jackson told fans in a video message last April. “Please, if you can try and understand that it’s important that I do this now. I have to rest up. Doctor’s orders. But I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can.”
Eissa is here, so it’s back to work for Jackson. The State of the World is a North American tour produced by Live Nation. She will do 56 shows with her first tour date on September 7 in Lafayette, Louisiana.
