Serena Williams pregnancy workout


In case you were wondering, yes, Serena Williams is going to work out until the very last minute of her pregnancy. In June, she shared video of herself knocking around some balls on the tennis court. This week, Williams, who is 35 weeks pregnant, ditched the courts for the gym. Footage was shared of the 35-year-old slamming down a medicine ball during a workout:

As the caption says, it’s “No Days Off” for the tennis ace, who is reportedly set to return to the game soon after giving birth. Her other half, Alexis Ohanian, recently went on Jimmy Kimmel Live and guessed their child’s sex. The couple thinks they’re having the girl that big sister Venus prematurely spilled the beans about a few months ago.

“[Serena] won the Australian Open while pregnant,” Ohanian said. “And she remarked that she feels like it has to be a girl because everything that that baby went through and handled like a champ, only a woman could be strong enough to take on.”

And in other body news, while carrying a child hasn’t slowed down Williams when it comes to working to maintain her body, taking care of three daughters, working to break into filmmaking and just overall loving retirement has changed Kobe Bryant’s body. At least, that’s what he jokingly said after paparazzi snapped him at the pool in Portofino, Italy without a shirt on. As he put it, the future Hall of Famer has gotten a little “thick.” We didn’t see any negative comments about his body, but the 38-year-old says if you give him 30 days, he’ll be back to his regular lean, fighting shape.

He actually looks good with a little bit of weight on him (because let’s be honest, it’s not a drastic increase in the slightest). But hey, we can always appreciate a good fitness challenge!
