On Friday (June 23), Oscar-winning actress Viola Davis celebrated 14 years of marriage with her husband, Julius Tennon. And of course, in today’s social media age, Davis sent out a heartfelt tweet in honor of their wedding anniversary.
“My life got sweeter, richer the day I met you. I love you like a big ole dog!!! Happy 14 years my love, my heart,” she captioned the photo of the couple from when they renewed their vocals in 2016, garnering tons of likes and best wishes.
Tennon and Davis wed in 2003 and added an addition to their family in October 2011 by adopting their beautiful daughter Genesis. Back in 2013, How To Get Away With Murder star shared with Page Six that Tennon was the answer to her prayers for love to finally come into her life.
“I was the loneliest woman in the world, and someone said, ‘You should just pray for a husband,” Davis said. “I said I wanted a big black man from the South who looked like a football player, who already had children, who maybe had been married before Three and a half weeks later, I met my husband.”
