Your Vagina Will Thank You For Not Eating These Foods During That Time Of The Month
As we all know, certain foods can have certain affects on your bodies, especially when it comes to down there.
Recently, gynecologist and resident expert at SweetSpot Labs Jessica A. Shepherd, MD spoke with Byrdie, sharing that when it’s that time of the month what foods you should avoid ingesting.
“Sugar can increase vaginal infections such as bacterial vaginosis and yeast infections,” she shares, reccommending eating foods with a low glycemic index, which will prevent yeast growth. Shepherd also offered that the candida diet (candida is the yeast-like fungus that causes such problems), which excludes alcohol, sugar, and of course yeast, is another option that works well. However, you’ll want to speak with your doctor to make sure it’s a safe meal plan for you first.
