If Tyra Banks is about anything it’s her business. Entertainment Tonight reports that the sequel to the 2000 Disney hit Life-Size will air on Freeform in December 2018.
Bank revealed she’s been working on the sequel for five years. Life-Size 2 will feature Banks reprising her role as the iconic Eve, a young girl’s doll who comes to life. Eve who is all grown continues to learn about the ups and downs of life while helping a young woman learn to live and love again.
At Freeform’s recent Upfront Presentation in New York City, 43-year-old Banks dropped some details on the sequel:
“Five years, four scripts, and finally we realized, Eve needs to grow up. She’s been around for a while. She’s been alive for a while. She needs to grow up and experience more adult things. So, you’re going to see a very different Eve on Freeform.”
The question is will Lindsay Lohan be making an appearance as an all grown-up Casey? Banks says it’s something she’d like to see, but also has her eyes on another young actress:
“I love Lindsay. I have not [reached out to offer a cameo], but I think it would be interesting. I have to talk to my producing partners. I think it would be interesting, right? That was my girl back in the day!”
“I would love Zendaya. I think Zendaya would be really interesting.”
As far as a release date, Banks remarked she’d be squeezing the project in between a few other gigs she’s signed on to including being the new host of America’s Got Talent, a return to her “baby” America’s Top Model, and being a mother to her real-life baby, 1-year-old son, York. Banks says she and producers are set on a date for late 2018:
“I was gonna fit it in between Top Model and AGT and teaching at Stanford and seeing my baby. So, we were like … Christmas 2018 will make it a better Life-Size.”
Are you excited for Life-Size 2? I know I’m not the only one who just started singing the lyrics to “Be A Star.”
