Three years after New York City cops shot Sean Bell and two of his friends fifty times the morning after his bachelor party, Bell’s estate is being sued. Officer Michael Carey, one of the cops involved in Bell’s death, claims that he was assaulted and injured by Bell’s vehicle right before shots were fired. Carey claims Bell was intoxicated and caused him serious leg injuries– his response to the wrongful-death lawsuit filed by Nicole Paultre Bell, Bell’s fiancee.
