We told you last week that actress and activist Amandla Stenberg showed off a new short cut that she sported for a film called Where Hands Touch with director Amma Asante. For Stenberg, despite embracing a large head full of curls since stepping into the spotlight years ago, the drastic hair change was freeing:

I just finished working on a film called Where Hands Touch directed by the incredible @iammaasante.
The story is about the experience of biracial children growing up in Nazi Germany. I shaved my head for the role. Feels really good. I feel so aerodynamic now. I’ve achieved ultimate speed. 🙂

The actress has since dyed the hair blond and rocked the look with power. The confidence exhibited, as well as the freedom, makes us want to feel the breeze on our scalp, too. But Stenberg is not the only one who looks fierce with a fade. Check out everyday women who make us want to chop our hair off. Work, ladies!
