From T.I. and Tiny to Tarek and Christina El Moussa, this past month hasn’t been too kind to reality TV couples.

Despite what they show us on television, many of the stars who put their love on display for the cameras are going through the same ups and downs as the rest of us, and sometimes, they’re just going through the motions for their audience. Eventually, though, it all comes out. When that happens, shows are usually cancelled, or stars are now left with the task of moving forward with the entire world looking at them.

Here are 15 couples who put it all out there for reality TV and soon realized it probably wasn’t the best idea.

Tiny & T.I.

After Tiny filed for divorce on the low earlier this month, there have been rumors that the couple could work things out. However, even if they do, there are also rumors that TI & Tiny: The Family Hustle will likely be cancelled.

Gina & Pat Neely

Everyone loved Down Home With the Neelys, but behind the scenes, the love was gone between these two. In September 2014, she filed for divorce after more than 20 years of marriage.

Tiffney Cambridge & The Game

The whole point of Marrying the Game was to follow Cambridge and the rapper as they planned their wedding. However, by the end of Season 1, they called it quits. In Season 2 and 3, the series followed the pair after their split as they tried to co-parent, but things were never in as good of a place.

Christina & Tarek El Moussa

Despite the success of their HGTV show Flip or Flop and the following the couple has amassed with it, this pair were not in good place this year. Many were surprised when Tarek and Christina announced that they were done earlier this month.

Evelyn Lozada and Chad Johnson

Evelyn Lozada & Chad Johnson

After getting married in July 2012, Johnson and Lozada had a violent domestic dispute a month later that ended with the former football star assaulting the Basketball Wives star (he appeared on the show before they said “I do”). A few days later, she filed for divorce. A reality show they had in the works called Ev and Ocho was axed before it could premiere after the incident. The entire series had already been filmed.

Cynthia Bailey & Peter Thomas

They got married on Real Housewives of Atlanta, so it only made sense that their marriage would fall apart on the show. Bailey began the process to divorce Thomas in November.

Porsha Williams & Kordell Stewart

After appearing very invested in her marriage on RHOA, even ready to have children with Stewart, Williams was blindsided by the former NFL star when he filed for divorce in March 2013. Her grief over the split, as well as her dating process after the fact, were shown on the series.

Mariah Carey & James Packer

He’s appeared on Carey’s E! reality show, Mariah’s World, and reportedly the series was something Packer was not a fan of. Despite being filmed planning the wedding and trying on a gown, news of Carey and Packer’s engagement ending spread in October before the show could even get started.

Khloe Kardashian & Lamar Odom

Their spinoff show Khloe & Lamar was cute, and Kardashian seemed very committed to Odom and their marriage, but love alone couldn’t save their relationship. Their show was cancelled when Odom first started feeling down after being traded by the Lakers, and she initially filed for divorce in 2013 after he was caught on video rapping about cheating on her. She would file for divorce again earlier this year after calling off the divorce when Odom was hospitalized for an overdose.

Kim Kardashian & Kris Humphries

After he appeared on Keeping up With the Kardashians and following a big wedding special, Kardashian all of a sudden just wasn’t feeling the idea of being married to Humphries anymore. After 72 days of marriage, she filed for divorce in 2011 and soon after, started seeing Kanye West.

Lisa Wu and Ed Hartwell

Another Real Housewives of Atlanta couple we watched go from good to sour, Hartwell filed for divorce from Wu in 2011.

Jessica Simpson & Nick Lachey

Who could forget Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica? The show ran for three seasons on MTV. Soon after the Season 3 finale in 2005, Simpson filed for divorce from Lachey.

Britney Spears & Kevin Federline

They didn’t just do the most in public, but Spears and Federline did the most on television as well. Britney and Kevin: Chaotic, which aired in 2005, was deemed career suicide for Spears. Doing the reality show was also ,the beginning of the end for their marriage. Spears filed for divorce from Federline in November 2006.

Kate & Jon Gosselin

It can’t be easy having eight kids, and it sure didn’t help the marriage of Jon and Kate Gosselin. In 2009, the couple split, and Kate proceeded to do their reality series with the kids on her own. It went from Jon & Kate Plus 8 to just Kate Plus 8.
