As a natural who lives on the east coast, I know wholeheartedly the struggle of making sure that my hair is stylish while also protected from the nature’s elements. But having great hair throughout the holiday season shouldn’t be a chore. This is the season to be jolly after all.

Feeling lackluster or lacking ideas for how to rock a great hairstyle this holiday season? Do not fear! This year let your soul (and your hair) glow with these fabulous celeb-hairspirations!  Here are a few ideas to make sure you have holiday hair to slay all the way into 2017.

Curled Locs

We could not forget about our loc’d sisters! Franchesca Ramsey aka chescaleigh is the ultimate “woke” voice of Twitter and YouTube, but her natural locs are also up for admiration. These subtle curls are perfect for a holiday office party or night out on the town! Also, depending on the method, these curls just need a few rollers, holding cream, and voila!

Straight With Loose Curls

Tamera Mowry-Housley is always #momgoals but her highlighted pressed hair is oh-so-chic. Give this look a try and enjoy many holiday parties without fretting over keeping your curls in place. This style is perfect for the holidays as it is a simple lace-front wig–pop it on and off whenever you want!

Wet & Wavy Curls

This wet-and-wavy sleek look is perfect for Christmas–or shall we say the night if Christmas. Take this sexy look to the bedroom and make bae drool over these sultry locs of lust. This style may be difficult to achieve on your own, but treat yourself to the salon and have your hair laid sans the effort.

The Nia Long

Keke Palmer is oh-so-adventurous with her daring fashion choices and ever-changing hairstyles. We love this look for the holidays because it is giving us ‘under the mistletoe’ vibes mixed with Nia Long feels. No need to worry about keeping your mane pressed or in shape, this short ‘do is easy-breezy. Just a simple press and smooth and you are on your way!

Braided Top-Knot

Yara Shahidi is a young powerhouse with the attitude to match. This braided top-knot is the perfect look when in need something quick, easy to maintain, and able to rock in multiple spaces. In need of assistance in achieving this look? Check out this video for a  quick tutorial.

Parted and Pressed

Sanaa Lathan is always on point but this simple-parted ‘do will work wonders on anyone who spots you into the New Year. Spice it up with a bright lip or dazzled earrings! Make sure your hair is pressed and divide the hair into whichever part desired, add a bit of smoothing gel and you are on your way to an awesome holiday ‘do!

Regina Hall can do no wrong style-wise but this natural, free-tress look is perfect for the #carefreeblackgirl. Rock this style with your natural curls or a kinky-curly wig. Either works and both will sweeten your holiday look!

No time to get your hair done due to hours of Christmas dinner prep? Try a throwback style with these simple, yet, classic cornrows. Add a bit of flare by switching up the sizing for every other braid. As Gabrielle Union has demonstrated, this style is not just for the schoolyard.

Shaved Head

As we mentioned on our site, more women are heading to a barber for the shaved look. This is great news if you recently did a big chop and feel that your options are limited. Madina Nalwanga perfectly demonstrates a flawless and simple look. Just make sure your scalp is moisturized.
