Anniversary Of Donda West’s Passing Reportedly Main Reason For Kanye’s Breakdown
We told you last week that after canceling his Saint Pablo Tour shows and behaving erratically at the home of his trainer, Kanye West was taken to the UCLA Medical Center to undergo a psychiatric evaluation. We said that fans of the rapper noted that November is not a good month for West as his mother died in November 2007 due to complications from cosmetic surgery. A source close to West is now confirming that the rapper’s nervous breakdown was, in large part, due to his struggle to deal with the anniversary of Donda West’s passing.
According to that source, who spoke to TMZ, the rapper was dealing with a wealth of emotions in the weeks before his hospitalization. He was stressed out and trying to provide emotional support to Kim Kardashian after she was robbed in Paris. On top of that, the pressures of touring, a lack of sleep, trying to juggle his tour with parenting and business dealings didn’t leave him much time to just sit and deal with his own emotions. That, along with the dark cloud of dealing with the pain of Donda’s death over his head proved to be too much.
The anniversary of her funeral was November 20, and according to TMZ, on that Sunday this month, West canceled his show at the The Forum in Los Angeles. They noted that a day later, West cancelled the rest of his tour and hours later, had the episode at his trainer’s home. Those close to the rapper (and many watching from the outside in) said that West never really grieved his loss, so November has always been a hard month for him.
West is still at the UCLA Medical Center and Kardashian has reportedly been by his side since he was admitted. He was supposed to be released a couple of days ago, but he’s still there and there is no news of a release date.
