Donald Trump Supporter Who Called Out “Hillary B—hes” During Flight Banned For Life By Delta Airlines

We told you yesterday about all of the uproar that was caused over the weekend when a Donald Trump supporter on a flight to Allentown, Pa., chose to celebrate Trump’s win in an abrasive way. The man stood in the middle of the aisle of the plane and shouted out Trump voters as the rest of the passengers sat uncomfortably in silence. When the man didn’t receive the reception he was hoping for, he asked if there were “Hillary b—hes” on the flight and told those who weren’t happy about their new president that “if you don’t like it, too bad!”

After it was noted that the flight attendants of this particular Delta flight didn’t do anything about the raucous behavior of the passenger, swarms of Twitter users spoke out and said they wouldn’t give the airline their service in the future. Even Taraji P. Henson had to call out Delta for not doing enough. The company apologized for the incident, but many people said it was too little, too late.

But in an effort to show that this behavior is not acceptable to Delta Airlines, the company figured out who the man is and decided to ban him from flying for life.

Delta Airlines CEO Ed Bastion put out a statement yesterday making it clear that they won’t allow passengers to treat people with anything other than “dignity and respect.”

At Delta, we strive to deliver a safe and reliable product while providing a customer experience that is second to none. You come to work every day prepared to serve our customers and to take care of each other while also dealing with the unexpected.

As you may have heard by now, last week a video began circulating around the internet showing a disruptive passenger on board a Delta flight. This individual displayed behavior that was loud, rude and disrespectful to his fellow customers. After questioning the customer, our team members made the best decision they could given the information they had and allowed him to remain on the flight. However, if our colleagues had witnessed firsthand what was shown in the video, there is no question they would have removed him from the aircraft. He will never again be allowed on a Delta plane.

Part of being a reliable travel partner and a servant leader is acknowledging our mistakes so we can learn from them and respond more effectively in the future. Delta has apologized to the customers onboard that flight. We are also refunding those customers the cost of their tickets.

I also want to make sure all of you know we have your backs. The heightened tension in our society means that now more than ever we must require civility on our planes and in our facilities. We must stay true to Delta’s core values and treat one another with dignity and respect. We also must remain committed more than ever to the safety of our customers and our crew members. We will not tolerate anything less.

With all of these Trump supporters harassing people in the name of their beloved leader, it’s clear we’re facing some hostile times — or more hostile than usual. So much for making America great again.
