Jury Rules Against The Game In Sexual Assault Lawsuit By “She’s Got Game” Contestant

November 21, 2016  |

According to theJasmineBrand.com, after four days of courtroom testimony and months upon months of mudslinging back and forth, a jury has found rapper The Game liable for damages in a lawsuit against him by former She’s Got Game contestant Priscilla Rainey.

As we told you in August 2015, Rainey accused Jayceon “The Game” Taylor of sexually assaulting her in May of 2015 while filming the show and filed a lawsuit. She claimed that the rapper, while under the influence (he denied that), reached his hand inside of her dress to rub her bare vagina and backside, which she didn’t give him permission to do. Rainey was seeking $10,000,000 in damages. As they waited for the case to go to court, as theJasmineBrand pointed out, he reportedly claimed that she had spent time in a mental institution and worked as a prostitute, which she adamantly refuted.

Despite what he had to say about her, a jury ruled in Rainey’s favor. How much the rapper will have to pay up hasn’t been revealed. However, Rainey has spoken out to say, in a statement to theJasmineBrand, that she didn’t file the lawsuit for the money.

“This case was never about money. This was always about standing up for not only my rights, but also the rights of women who have been similarly victimized,” she said. “My life has been impacted tremendously by relentless negativity, solely because I chose not to remain silent. I am hopeful that this result can empower other women to also come forward and stand up for themselves.”

Rainey did endure a lot of criticism from the rapper’s fans, and still is being called out of her name as the news of The Game not being successful in the lawsuit has spread. He is reportedly planning to appeal the ruling, but is staying mum on social media about it at the moment.
