Zendaya’s New Clothing Line Caters To All Shapes, Sizes And Genders

November 5, 2016  |

Zendaya Coleman is best known as an actress and singer, but she’s also gained a reputation for being a fashion killer on and off the red carpet. So much so, that the 20-year-old decided to put her style skills to use and create her own clothing brand, Daya by Zendaya.

Debuting on Friday (Nov. 4), Zendaya shared some details about her new fashion empire, explaining why it was important for her brand to include an array of sizes (from o to 22) to compliment everyone that fancies her “expensive, luxurious and editorial” pieces that won’t break the bank thanks to its $18 to $158 price range.

“Sizing was important to me because I didn’t want anyone to feel alienated or feel like they weren’t included or thought about in the process of this. I want everybody to feel like they’re apart of this brand.”

In addition to being a body inclusive brand, Daya by Zendaya carries gender neutral items.

“It’s not for me its for them,” she said. “As much as I love it and it is for me it’s really for the people. So I wanted to listen to their questions, their comments, their concerns — what they want, what they don’t want, what they like, what they need.”
