When I think about the music industry, I imagine it’s an arena of scandal and secrets. Us members of the general public will never know all of the work, drama and controversy that goes into producing some of the work that will go on to leave indelible marks on our lives. Check out the videos that were never fully released into the world for one reason or another.

Put It In A Love Song- Alicia Keys ft. Beyoncé

I’m not exaggerating when I say that I cannot listen to this song without wondering why the hell this video was never released. It actually makes me a bit sad. After all, the visuals we do have from the video shoot, in Brazil, are gorgeous. The song is hot and features two Black A-listers in the music game. And then, if that weren’t enough, both Alicia and Beyoncé were wearing clothes from the Boxing Kitten line. Founded by a Black woman, Maya Lake, this exposure could have done wonders for her brand. We never got a very solid reason why this video was never released. According to Alicia Keys, things just didn’t work out. Since the video was never released, we’ll have to settle for this compilation video that does include some shots and images from the video shoot.
