The pay gap is finally front and center during this presidential election, but the 78 cents figure you’ve been hearing isn’t the one that matters to women of color. Black women only make 60 cents for every dollar a white man earns while Hispanic women earn 55 cents. That disparity has a tremendous trickle down effect on African- and Latin-American households, which is why its imperative the next president make headway on equal pay for all women, and especially women of color, during their time in office.

In this special election webisode, our Managing Editor, Brande Victorian, talks with Michaela Angela Davis, Keli Goff, Kim Osorio, and Saideh Browne about what it will really take to close the pay gap.
