Silk-Lined Headwraps To Protect Your Strands This Fall

September 27, 2016  |

silk-2When I think of headwraps, I automatically think of beautiful brown women in African prints strolling through the park in the summer. Most of us put away headwraps with our maxi dresses this time of year because the material used for wraps isn’t exactly conducive to wintertime elements, but Cee Cee’s closet has the remedy with silk-lined headwraps that are perfect for the fall.

Priced between $36 and $38, the Harlem-based business run by sisters Chioma and Uchenna Ngwudo, offers 100% silk poly blend headwraps in eight different prints to prevent breakage and split ends, which are about as common in the winter as snow when it comes to hair. While we can’t stop the brisk wind from blowing, we can protect our strands from its drying effects, and a layer of silk between our hair and what sits on top of it, be it a headwrap or a hat, is just the thing.

Cee Cee’s wraps simply need to be handwashed in cold water to remove any oil build up after wearing and then you can hang to dry and iron on the printed side with cool heat if needed before wearing again. Items also ship in 2-3 business days, so you won’t have to wait long to put this look into action.

Check out a few more of the silk-lined designs from Cee Cee’s closet below. The site offers free shipping on orders over $75. Shout out to Shantell at Mane Guru for putting us on to these beautiful wraps!silk-lined headwraps
