I have to be so careful with the types of soaps I use these days. They have to have some element of moisture so they don’t dry my skin out. They have to smell good. And near the top of my priority list is the lather factor. Which makes Dove’s Beauty Bars some of the best in the game. I gifted guests who attended my book launch party with beauty bars that had my whole apartment smelling absolutely divine.
But it’s more than just the scent, these soaps are particularly good at making sure your skin doesn’t feel raw and sapped of all essential oils when you step out of the shower. And now that the weather is cooling, this is key. Thankfully, the soaps include natural oils like shea, and argan that make them a bit different than the older Dove Bar you might have grown up with. They don’t irritate sensitive skin. And the lather is particularly impressive. I know people swear you shouldn’t use soap to shave, but the beauty bars are perfect for me in that regard and they leave my legs feeling smooth, much like the results I get from using a shaving cream, plus the great smell.
And while a lot of other bar soaps seem to disintegrate after being in your shower for a couple of days, the Dove Beauty Bars hold up for a good while. One of my coworkers claimed that you could get a good 40 washes with a Beauty Bar before you have to replace it with another.
If you love clean, simple scents you can still get your Dove white. If your skin is more sensitive than most, there’s a bar for you too. If you’re looking for a more fragrance, there’s the Pink/Rosa, or the Cool Moisture, Cucumber scent, a citrus one, pomegranate or coconut milk, pistachio cream and magnolia, and many more.
Each Beauty Bar performs a different function. They revive, moisturize, revitalize and even gently exfoliate the skin.
You can check out all of the new scents and their functions here.
